Scottish Government visit to Cairo‏

Dr Ali Soliman of Central Administration of Plant Quarantine, Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, hosted a meeting for representatives of the Scottish Government (Mr R. Burns) and Potato Council (Mr Mark Prentice). During this meeting discussions took place on seed potato imports into Egypt. Scottish Government and Egyptian Government had previously agreed a partnership working plan which will bring benefits to both countries and improve the already excellent relationships between officials. Dr Ali Soliman and Mr Robert Burns signed the partnership working document in Cairo on 18th May 2011. Mrs Marwa Hussein from UKTI in Cairo also attended the meeting.
